				FIRST UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST 48 Church Street Milford, NJ (908) 995-4827 This lovely church traces its origin to 1827 when Abigail Roberts, a rarity as a woman preacher, organized a congregation as the Christian Church of Milford. Today, the small but vibrant congregation welcomes all to its classic structure, rebuilt after a fire in 1940. The church is active in the community offering suppers, special events, and mission programs such as food drives and the “Ugly Quilters” who meet weekly to fashion bedrolls for the homeless. Two holidays provide the setting for major UCC contributions to the local community. For Christmas in Milford, the church stages a costumed Living Nativity tableau in town. A spring tradition is the Palm Sunday Processional through town, with youngsters in costume and a live horse or donkey. For this event, First UCC is joined by Milford Presbyterian Church and St. Edward's Roman Catholic Church. Hours: Worship Service meets at 11:00 am For more information on church events

				GRACE FELLOWSHIP EVANGELICAL FREE CHURCH 401 Milford Mount Pleasant Rd Milford, NJ 08848-1142 (908) 995-2773 In early 1987 six couples began to meet to discuss and pray about planting an Evangelical Free Church in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. Later that year on September 10th, Grace Fellowship held its first service in a local high school. The church continued to grow in average attendance from 45 to 145. After a lengthy search for a permanent location, Grace Fellowship began renting and meeting in the VFW building in the rural town of Milford, N.J. in June 1996. Two and a half years later, the church purchased the building from the VFW. This facility, which met the search criteria perfectly, has allowed us to do a number of outreaches to the community. Grace Fellowship Church offers a range of programs to fit with any age group. Various Bible studies meet during the week. AWANA which is for preschool to 6th grade meets every Monday night. Youth Group for grades 7th-12th meets every Sunday evening. Adult Bible Fellowships and Sunday School meet immediately following our worship services.
